As you know, Diana has changed my life (for the better) repeatedly over the years and continues to do so. Her ACTIONS are what inspires. We all have thoughts, dreams, fantasies of what we want, wish, hope for. Over and over again, Diana demonstrates that it’s what you DO that matters.

I have been following Diana for more than 35 years and she continues to move me to try.

I regret that I could not be there this time to experience in person the monumental energy and determination that is Diana. Of course, everything about the swim, beginning with the conception of it is inspiring. Indeed, even Diana’s CNN press conference afterward was amazing. Her resilience, her graciousness, her ongoing desire to uplift in the face of her disappointment taught me much.

As I write this I am moved to tears.

I owe Diana more than I can ever say.
